releaseimg_160229_160306Last week on Mars, a small transient dust storm was observed northwest of Elysium Mons shield volcano and over the polar dunes of Olympia, while in the southern hemisphere, local-scale dust storms were observed over northern Aonia and Solis Planum. Water-ice clouds, associated with an annular cloud feature that develops in the early morning hours of mid-summer, were observed north of Alba Patera.
