THEMIS: Asimov Crater’s sedimentary infill

Asimov Crater in false color (THEMIS_IOTD_20170501)THEMIS Image of the Day, May 1, 2017. Today’s false color image shows more of Asimov Crater. Gullies along the crater rim are visible in this image. Where did the crater’s infill come from?  What is removing it?

The THEMIS VIS camera contains 5 filters. The data from different filters can be combined in multiple ways to create a false color image. These false color images may reveal subtle variations of the surface not easily identified in a single band image.
