Opportunity sat parked on the “bench” formation that butts up against the Endeavour Crater rim segments on their western (Meridiani Planum) side, in a two-frame Navcam composite.
The rover also took a close-up look at the fissured bedrock, in a false-color composite image (right) made by Holger Isenberg using filtered Pancam frames.
