THEMIS Image of the Day, May 12, 2016. Today’s image location is slightly east of Monday’s image. In this image the polar scarp (called Rupes Tenuis) bisects the image. The polar cap is on the left side of the image with the lower elevation to the right. In this part of the scarp the layering of the polar ice is readily identifiable.
