MAVEN passes 600 days at Mars

13177056_10154322541057868_4429825897563423702_nThe MAVEN spacecraft entered Mars’ orbit on September 21, 2014 and has now spent more than 600 (Earth) days exploring the climate history of the Red Planet through its atmosphere.

MAVEN will begin its next “deep dip” campaign on June 7, 2016, so stay tuned for results, as the spacecraft samples the densest regions of Mars’ upper atmosphere. [More at link]
