THEMIS Image of the Day, June 2, 2016. This VIS image shows a small portion of Olympia Undae, the largest of the dune fields surrounding the north polar cap. This image was collected during summer and no frost remains on the dunes. The dunes are almost completely covering the surface with very small regions of the underlying surface visible.
