THEMIS Image of the Day, July 6, 2016. Multiple dune fields surround the north polar cap. This unnamed region of dunes is located between Olympia Undae (the largest dune field) and Abalos Undae. This image was acquired during northern summer, when all the frost has sublimated revealing the dune sand.
