Curiosity: Murray Buttes & Balanced Rock

1387-mastcam100-leftSol 1387, July 1, 2016. Before the rover entered safe mode, it took a 20-frame  panorama looking toward the west with the 100mm lens of the Mastcam. The features are the Murray Buttes.

The image above (left half of the panorama) and below (right half) each enlarge (~300K) when clicked. The two half-panoramas overlap in part. The arrow above indicates the location of the soon-to-be-famous Balanced Rock.

The entire panorama is here (15 MB) in full resolution, and a reduced-size (2 MB) version is here.
