Sol 4427, July 7, 2016. The Mesa (or the Stump) has acquired a new, more permanent name that continues the pattern of commemorating members of the Corps of Discovery led by Meriwether Lewis and William Clark, (1804-1806). The person is Jean-Baptiste La Jeunesse, who was a boatman hired on contract for the expedition.
