THEMIS Image of the Day, February 27, 2017. his VIS image shows a small portion of Daedalia Planum. The lava flows in this region originated at Arsia Mons, one of the large Tharsis volcanoes. Several different elevations of lava flow are visible in this image, some much smoother in appearance than others.
