THEMIS: Angustus Labyrinthus, the “Inca City”

Angustus Labyrinthus (THEMIS_IOTD_20170405)THEMIS Image of the Day, April 5, 2017. The ridges in this VIS image are part of Angustus Labyrinthus. The intersecting ridges were most likely formed due to tectonic activity. When this feature was first observed by the Mariner 9 orbiter, project scientists dubbed it “the Inca City.”
