MARCI weather report, March 27-April 2, 2017

march-28-2017The weather on Mars this past week was fairly typical for this time of season. Small short-lived dust storms swept eastward along the seasonal north polar ice cap edge. Looking a bit further south, a couple of local-scale dust storms were spotted over Amazonis and Acidalia in the second half of the week. Meanwhile, on the other side of the red planet, dust hazes and diffuse water-ice clouds continued to linger over the southern highlands. South polar conditions were a bit more murky on some sols as a couple tiny transient dust… [More at link, including video]
