Opportunity: Near one branch of Marathon Valley

3926-navcam3Sol 3926, February 9, 2015. In the center of this three-frame composite, the Navcam has captured where the northern branch of Marathon Valley reaches the crest of Endeavour Crater’s rim. This entrance, however, may prove too steep and rough for the rover to navigate safely. A wider, smoother, and gentler path into the valley lies on the southern (far) side of the hill on the right.
