Over the past week, increased dust- lifting activity occurred in the northern hemisphere of Mars. Local scale dust storms were observed over Elysium, Utopia, Amazonis, northern Alba Patera, and the Phlegra Montes in the beginning of the week. This activity preceded a large regional dust storm that traveled along the Acidalia storm-track into eastern Valles Marineris and Margaritifer Terra.
