THEMIS: Two impacts in one at Gasa Crater

Two in one at Gasa Crater (THEMIS_IOTD_20170407)THEMIS Image of the Day, April 7, 2017. The small crater on the floor of the larger crater is called Gasa Crater. Gullies dissect the rims of both craters. These craters are located in Eridania Planitia. As most impacts from double (binary) asteroids produce side-by-side craters, Gasa Crater is likely a lucky strike by a second impactor unrelated to the first.
