MARCI weather report, July 31-August 6, 2017

Dust storm activity was sporadic across much of Mars this past week. The northern plains were largely inactive apart from a pulse of activity over Acidalia at the end of the week. Looking to the southern highlands, small transient dust storms were spotted over Cimmeria, Noachis, and northern Aonia. The floors of Valles Marineris were partially obscured following a dust storm north of Argyre which lofted material into the canyon system. [More at link, including video]
