Opportunity: Aguas Calientes rimshots

5036-mi-topSol 5036, March 25, 2018. Over the weekend, Opportunity kept the Microscopic Imager with its nose to the outcrop, shooting a pair of images (above) on the upper rim of the grind hole in Aguas Calientes. Then it dropped below the hole to image both the rim and the untouched surface outside the grind area.  The goal appears to have been capturing details in the debris from the grinding.  Click either image to enlarge it.
