The Pancam looks ahead at the lower slopes of Cape Tribulation, in a three-frame composite using noisy images. (Pancam was shooting through its left-side filter #7, which favors blue wavelengths, hence the reddish ground appears dark.)

Opportunity sat parked on the “bench” formation that butts up against the Endeavour Crater rim segments on their western (Meridiani Planum) side, in a two-frame Navcam composite.

The rover also took a close-up look at the fissured bedrock, in a false-color composite image (right) made by Holger Isenberg using filtered Pancam frames.
