MARCI weather report: June 2-8, 2014

Dust activityreleaseimg_140602_140608 on Mars picked up considerably this past week as expected based on observations from previous years. In the northern hemisphere, dust lifting occurred off the residual polar cap edge and was transported into Acidalia and northern Utopia as well as over the cap itself. Persistent local storm activity (storms with a duration of a day or two) was observed in the southern hemisphere throughout the week… [More at link, including video]
