Curiosity: Sol 662, June 17, 2014

NLB_456268211EDR_F0360000NCAM00261M_To favor the wheels, Curiosity’s rover-drivers are keeping it on softer soil. This collects in hollows and swales that lie between areas of higher ground, usually rock-strewn. One such hollow, Robert Frost Pass, lies ahead at top left. With a mission emphasis on driving and the ground being suitable, the last two sols have seen drives of more than 130 meters (420 feet) each.
