Being called offside is a good thing in this case, but don’t tell the FIFA referees. HiRISE captured this image on 27 May 2014, when Curiosity had just crossed the edge of the 3-sigma landing ellipse…. OK, I don’t hear any cheering yet…you must be wondering “what the heck is a 3-sigma landing ellipse?” [More at link]
