MARCI weather report, July 25-31, 2016

releaseimg_160725_160731During the past week, no major regional-scale dust storms raged across the red planet. However, smaller-scale, local storms were abundant along the seasonal south polar and over the northern plains. Water-ice clouds continued to dominate the afternoon skies over tropical latitudes, including all the major shield volcanoes. The rovers, Curiosity in Gale Crater and Opportunity on Meridiani Planum experienced storm-free skies each sol. [More at link, including video]
